THE STORY OF SUNSHINE BAKERY

When I was diagnosed with Celiac disease in 2016, I realized how difficult it is to find delicious treats that taste similar to the flavors I remembered pre-diagnosis. A passion for home baking emerged, and I began recreating cookies, brownies, cakes, raised + fried doughnuts. You name it.


It seemed nearly impossible to find - especially within the small mountain community I reside - fresh, homemade gluten-free, Celiac-safe baked goods. This then made me consider all the locals with similar dietary restrictions that were missing out on those sweet guilty pleasures. 


Any Celiac and gluten allergic/intolerant individual knows cross-contamination is a huge risk for sparking some health issues that you've worked hard to avoid. This is why at Sunshine Bakery, every product we make is 100% gluten-free - with many dairy-free and vegan options as well.


Sunshine Bakery's ultimate goal is to show all people, not just those with dietary restrictions, that our gluten-free guilty pleasures don’t have to be robbed of the joy that is experienced in a gluten-filled treat. Just one bite will show you that gluten-free can be just as good, and dare I say even better!
